Soho Coffee - South Gloucestershire

Stood for ages in a queue, only to be given the wrong drink. Instead of replacing it, I was ignored by the sullen staff member while she carried on serving people behind me! Rude! It’s a shame that this little coffee shop is staffed by people who can’t smile and be pleasant with their customers. Dire service. Rude and sullen.

There is a lack of good cafes in Central Bradley Stoke, but this particular one stands out as the best option. Conveniently located across from the Willow Brook Shopping Centre, it is part of the sleek and modern Leisure Centre complex. The cafe is spacious, well-lit, and while it was bustling on a Saturday morning, there were still available tables. The service at the counter was prompt, even with a small line, and our coffee and cake were both top-notch.

Visited today and tried the hot brioche bun with hog roast. It was delivered to our table reasonably quickly in what can only be described as a camping pot. The food in Soho used to be presented so much more nicely until they changed to these camping pots. My bun was very disappointing, it was cold and did not appear to have been cooked properly. I raised this with the manager and he vet quickly apologised and offered to have it remade. The second bun was definitely hotter, but I am afraid to say did not taste particularly good, and was certainly not worth the £6+ price tag. In short good service, but poor food.

There was a long line to order a cup of coffee at this restaurant. After finally placing the order, there was a wait to actually receive the coffee. The prices were the same regardless of whether you ordered black or white coffee. They offer a reward card where you can get a free coffee after visiting six times and getting the card stamped. There was plenty of seating available, although our table was unstable and caused our coffee to spill.

The service is friendly, the coffee is good with several size options available, and the cake is excellent. I highly recommend the muffin with fresh fruit and cream - it is delicious! The restaurant is also baby-friendly.
