The Red Lion - South Derbyshire

We were exploring unfamiliar territory in the heart of Lincolnshire when we stumbled upon the Red Lion. Despite not having a reservation, the staff welcomed us warmly and quickly arranged a table for the four of us. The service was prompt, and the food was both outstanding and fairly priced. If we find ourselves in the area again, we would definitely return to the Red Lion.

This pub has a wonderfully friendly atmosphere. I visited with some friends to celebrate my birthday and ended up meeting even more friends there. The owners are gay, but they are incredibly welcoming and create a warm environment. I highly recommend this place for a drink to anyone!

We had a wonderful experience at this pub! The landlord and landlady were so welcoming, and the beer (and gin) was excellent. I ordered the Sunday roast, which was filled with generous portions of homemade comfort food – just like a mother's Sunday dinner – all at a very reasonable price. The atmosphere was delightful, with friendly locals and a pleasant outdoor seating area. We would have loved to stay for a few more drinks, but we had a wedding to attend.
