Morrisons Cafe - South Cambridgeshire

Blame it on covid. what used to be an acceptable menu is now an apology for food. tasteless food and invisible staff , apart from the delivery of the food. will not be returning.

This store frequently runs out of milk for those shopping before am when the delivery is made. Today when I asked a manager (drafted in from another store) why they did not order more he replied that the amount was decided by the computer....You would only need to go and look at the empty shelves every morning to see this isn't working but its obviously much easier to blame the computer than take responsibility for under ordering. If this manager found the computer had underpaid him would he just shrug and say the computer knows best! The other problem encountered at this store today is also a regularly occuring one. Only one manned checkout open and then when the supervisor does open another one they peel people off from the end of the queue rather than serving the people who have waited the longest. This happens so often to me, three times in the last two weeks alone, that I think a fairer system should be introduced which does not allow the supervisor to play God' and choose who gets through quickest. This could be a filter queue or a ticket system like those at delicatessens.

Rather than have our usual sandwiches whilst travelling popped into the café for some warm food. No welcome on arrival and thus no indication about using track and trace. We did fill in form as knew the procedure from visits to other Morrisons stores. No...trays available and no staff around to take orders until couple in front shouted into the kitchen. Fried eggs on toast and a bacon butty were ordered and arrived within minutes. Reasonably tasty but eggs slightly undercooked.

Ordered food after quite a wait. Very slow to be served considering there was only person in front. Ordered jacket potato withl chilli, which was really good, and vegetarian sausages, chips, egg and beans which was average. Can't really complain as with cold...drinks it was only (half price)

We Had an order for our family of We each had a meal and a drink and the cost was just around There was plenty on the plartes and the food was fabulous.
