C&j Barbeque - South Brazos

Heard about this place on the Texas Bucket List show. Everything was great from all the meats to the vegetables and the beans. Thank you guys!!

Could not wait to eat here. Read some good reviews B4. I was very disappointed. I had 3 meets, brisket was ok with hardly any flavor, jalapeno cheese sausage was chemical tasting kinda like fake meat and I could not finish it and the ribs were good but not the best. At $20 not worth it at all! I flew into Austin on Sunday pretty much from Germany. Stopped at a Buc-ees along the way here to CS and had a brisket sandwich. It was a whole lot better with great taste. Sorry C&J, staff friendly but food not so good. Probably an off day.

I stopped in to pick up food for people that didn’t have power from the hurricane. I asked them to put a few pieces of ice in a plastic bag to keep the potato salad and coleslaw cold while I drove over an hour to deliver food and they would not do that for me. Not very customer service friendly. It’s a shame because the food was good.

Great food and service. I will definitely be returning.

Ordered a $12 sausage, pulled pork and turkey plate that’s advertised as $12 then was charged $23 and the rude Asian lady behind the counter said it’s $23 because it’s no longer available and is now a 3 meat plate, then stop advertising it as I’ve seen it there for the last few times I’ve been and no one ever orders it until today
