Bidrage med feedbackGood diner food. Had the omelette and the Day Ross poutine. It was the only place open for breakfast in Oct! Nice folks!
I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. I enjoy a cafe and gas station combination, but asking for tea with a side of diesel was a bit much. The suggestion of pumping it myself was not appealing. I will think twice before stopping at Joe's Cafe again. The salt was tasty though, so I'll give it two stars. xoxo
We came by this café on the suggestion of someone who thought Joe might be able to help us with a car problem. Joe's daughter, Martha, called her dad and he in turn called his son, Brent. Brent came by and had us follow him back to his shop where he very generously fixed our car the heat shield had come loose and was dragging on the ground...I thought I'd lost the whole underside of the car due to the horrible road conditions! . He refused payment and so we went back to the Café for breakfast to pay it forward. The eggs were cooked just right and there was delicious homemade toast. The Western was loaded with peppers, ham, onions mushrooms. The Café is off the Main Rd but seemed to have lots of local traffic. I would certainly recommend Joe's Country Café to anyone. On the return trip, a month later, we stopped and had lunch. The BLT was loaded with bacon and was one of the best we had.
We were looking for a Cafe for breakfast after coming across the ferry today. As a group of 8, some were finished their meals before others got theirs so the serving of meals was not well times. That being said, the food was quite good. The homemade bread was yummy and you had the option of getting some classic Newfie. The service was friendly and decor was dated. Overall it was a great Newfie experience that I would definitely recommend to other travellers. :
This Resturant seems to have been misplaced! It is ranked #11 of 18 restaurants in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, but it is actually located in the Codroy Valley, in Newfoundland...about 1,000kms to the South of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador. There is no Highway 406 anywhere close to Labrador! I've heard of hard-to-ding attractions and poor directions, but this one would be a challenge. I have clicked some basic answers, just to get the TripAdvisor system to accept this review, so please forgive any misleading answers.
