My husband was planning and hosting a family reunion and neglected to order the catering, Monday I was tasked with finding a restaurant/caterer, that would accommodate our Saturday reunion dinner. I was concerned with the supply chain and staff shortages, it was going to be a challenge and it was. To the rescue, I emailed Donna, even though Fishers Tips and BBQ were closed, she emailed me back immediately. Donna, put me touch with her husband Rob and he helped me figure out what we needed for 35-40 guests. I ordered ribs, rib tips, chicken, chicken wings, Mac and cheese, beans, potato salad, slaw and cornbread. Everything was fabulous, the ribs and rib tips were fall off the bone, tender and moist, with a beautiful carmelization. Their sauce is incredibly flavorful. The chicken was very moist, not at all dry or overcooked. The Mac and cheese was the best, made with real cheese, not plastic, Velveta. The beans were excellent, not a canned Boston Baked bean type. Our entire family raved about everything, and each family that was not flying requested leftovers. We have been doing the family reunions every two years for many, many years, and everyone said this was the best ever. I fixed a plate for our hotel receptionist and she said it was the very best BBQ she had ever had. She made sure I wrote down exactly the name because she wanted to refer other guests. I am so happy and grateful Donna and Rob accommodated us, even at the late date. They are the old fashioned Mom and Pop kind of business owners that really care. The address is incorrect. This shares the same building as Country Bake Shop across the road.
