Madison Oyster Bar - South Bend

My wife and I have always enjoyed the place. Last Friday we took our high functioning autistic son there to get a burger his favorite. However, the hostess asked us to leave as he was wearing sweat pants. Inappropriate clothing. He's is tactile sensitive. Stunning.

Have yet to enjoy this bar. I first went here after moving to South Bend and was asked to show three valid forms of IDs which was not asked of any other patron in our group. Since going back they have changed their policy to not allow anyone under 25. Additionally the staff has added a targeted dress code which is interesting to say the least. I wish the staff the best of luck as I 've heard nothing but good things about this bar so it has been incredbily dissapointing to have these experiences.

I couldn't make pictures of the burger, but it was the best burger I had in South Bend. Everything was delicious and a friendly place. Definitely one of my top 10 spots.

Came for the music, but remained for the smell of the grill. Best service and food, BY FAAARRR! at 10:15 or anytime. Madison Oyster Bar Downtown South Bend BABY! Best food. MADISON BAR BURGER. Stop it! literally. If you are just looking for a place to cool with a drink, and amazing food by 3:00. This is the place! Shout to my boy Mike! Love you my people! Oh, yeah, it's 12:22 and I just ordered a Madison Oyster Bar Burger. This is the best place in South Bend. BAR! Not like that.

This restaurant met my three criteria for a five-star rating: good food, good atmosphere and good service. I would highly recommend and will return soon. The menu is somewhat limited, so check it before eating to make sure that it fits what you are looking for.
