Bidrage med feedbackWe accidentally took the wrong exit off the freeway and ended up driving through an industrial area. The restaurant we found was located next to a Swedish bakery. The Asian food was absolutely incredible, and we couldn't help but notice the beautiful sandwiches being served to other customers at a nearby table. The customer service was top-notch.
It seems that the hospitality industry has taken a hit during the pandemic. During a recent trip from the ACT to Melbourne to catch the Spirit of Tasmania, we experienced some disappointing service at Ebden and Olive. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, we were unable to dine at any restaurants on the boat and had to bring our own food. When we arrived at Ebden and Olive around noon, we ordered lunch. However, when I tried to order sandwiches to take on the boat, I was informed by Fasil Bawlty that the kitchen was closed at 12:34. Despite explaining our situation and the fact that we couldn't leave our car, we were met with a refusal to help. Frustrated, I asked for any recommendations for food elsewhere but was met with unhelpful responses. It was disappointing to see the lack of understanding and flexibility from the staff in such difficult times. We will not be returning to Ebden and Olive in the future.
I picked up my Christmas order without any issues. The food exceeded my expectations. EnO, you always manage to outdo yourself. The duck liver pate was exceptional, the Asian slaw was a must-try, and the Christmas pudding was simply delicious. The coffee was also fantastic. I could continue raving about this place for hours. I will definitely be recommending it to others.
Honestly, the barista is quite potentially one of the rudest hospitality staff I’ve ever had the unfortunate luck in coming across. He’s just mean and it appears he’s that way to his staff too. Food was cold and bland. Usually coffee is on point but was burnt on this day
