Abbiocco - South Abington Township

A dog friendly restaurant, we grabbed a sandwich and an appetizer for lunch. We were served quickly and they even brought watermelon ice cubes and water for our Lulu! Very affordable and tasty!

Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff. Was a little hectic because they were short staffed. Enjoyed the food, fresh warm bread, salad with balsamic was delicious. We ordered the crab stuffed wontons for an appetizer, a bit disappointing as they were extremely small barely bigger than a quarter) and there was only 4 of them for $11.95. Entree's were nice, Chicken Marsala sauce was very runny but had good flavor. Chicken Abbiocco was cooked perfectly, great flavor and fresh mozzarella cheese, but was placed in to much oil. The pesto sauce needed to be thicker and not oily.

Cons: They do not serve beer or wine, we did not know it was bring your own, we just stopped while traveling back to upstate NY. We had very small amount of bread served with our salad, then when I asked for more bread when our dinner came, only received 2 small pieces. Italian restaurants should not be stingy with bread! Pros: Food was good, but definitely not great. Very large portions! Meatballs were very good.

A cozy atmosphere with quality fresh food. This is a unique stop, and a must try if you're a local that calls yourself a foodie. I thought this place was great and I wish places like this were easier to find. Just remember, BYOB!

SO dog friendly. They have a doggy menu with over 5 options for the puppies with free water and frozen watermelon cubes. Outside and indoor seating available. Fast, such friendly service. Will come back!
