It was six years between my two visits to Homemade Cafe.

EAT THE CHEESE BLINTZES!!!! Also, if you get the corned beef hash, be sure to get eggsThe hash is fresh & delicious, but a little dry.

So we ended up at Stickleback three nights on the bounce, as well as numerous take out boxes, which must be a new record for me in terms of patronising one place in such high volume. Truth be told, there isn't much choice in and around the town of Sooke, unless you undertake a thirty-minute schlep into Victoria… but we’re more than a little lazy, so we didn't bother with that.
Another truth is that there was no need to look further. We were staying five minutes away, at the fantastic Moonlit Cove B

Laid-back west-coast with decent comfort food. Relaxing in the sun. Seems to be a local eatery where everyone shows up. Nice fast-ish food
