Strings Italian Cafe - Sonora

I always read reviews before I buy something online or try a new place to eat. After reading some reviews (good and not so good), I was skeptical but wanted to try it for myself even though it was a Friday night at 6:00. We were greeted and seated quickly by a very nice gal (Britney) who took our drink order and served them promptly. Our soup, salad, and then our appetizer came before we finish the soup and salad.Our meal came shortly after the appetizer was finished. The presentation of the Fisherman's stew was very appealing and the taste was rich and flavorful, a little spicy. The seafood in it was not chewy as you can easily overcook scallops or the shrimp, the mussels tasted fresh and the white fish was flaky and tender. The sauce very much like a good cioppino but slightly thicker so it stuck to all goodness in the dish. All in all I thought it was a very good, flavorful with good sized portions, and prompt friendly service. If I had one thing to critique, it would be the warm artichoke dip was more like a warm spinach dip with artichoke. Worth giving it a try, we will be back with hopes that we have a similar experience.
