Papa's New Roost - Sonora

I visited this restaurant for the first time after hearing so many great things about it. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The service was lacking, and while the food was mediocre, the cookie was the best part of the meal. It’s a charming little place, but I can't recommend it. If you're not a regular, it feels like you’re invisible until they need to attend to you. I didn’t even bother taking pictures, and I usually love capturing restaurant moments. Update: I just got home after a dreadful meal, and I won't be returning.

I am truly disappointed. We've visited this restaurant a couple of times, but our second visit was quite disappointing. For $40 for breakfast, I expected them to put in more effort and take their time with the food. If I wanted my meal to taste like it was made with flour, I would have let my 8-year-old niece cook! It’s really unfortunate how quickly the quality has declined.

We’ve been visiting Pinecrest Lake for about five years, and we just discovered this restaurant. It has a clean and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff is incredibly friendly. My wife ordered the French toast, my daughter had the biscuits and gravy with bacon and eggs, and I went for the bacon waffle. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We enjoyed breakfast here, but we’re definitely looking forward to returning to try the ribs!

Prime Rib everything. Lunch. Prime Rib sandwiches hot or cold. I think so. It tastes on the menu. Breakfast. Same. My visit has been since 2019. Service is good. Friendly. And live not 1/2 dead as they suffer from a bad cat. So, if you are in the area and on your belly set for food flavor status, with a nap planned later. Come in. Portions will fill you.

My husband and granddaughter didn't like the hashbrowns. I asked for eggs over medium instead of over easy like I usually do... thank goodness I did or they would have been raw! Most important... the bathroom was NOT handicap friendly! I use a walker with 4 wheels and had to leave it outside the bathroom door because I couldn't get it inside with me... to tight of a fit
