The Girl The Fig Caters! - Sonoma

The Girl The Fig catered for our wedding back in September and I've been meaning to write this review since. They were one of the best vendors we had on our wedding day and I was really impressed by their quality and service. The food was incredible! I didn't expect our wedding food to be that good. The short rib and salmon were delicious, and everything was beautifully prepared. Honestly, I think the food was even better at the wedding than at our tasting. All the passed hors d'oevres were very good too. The only issue I had was one of the junior bartenders must have opened all of the bottles of red wine we had pre-purchased (and it wasn't cheap! cabs were $85/bottle), and so we returned the next day to find many full bottles of corked red wine that we would have loved to save. The staff were professional and attentive. We got so many compliments on the food and the bartending staff. They did a fantastic job with our custom specialty cocktails. Thank you so much for making our wedding day so special! I would recommend GATF to anyone planning their wedding in wine country.

We used the girl and the fig caters for our wedding this past weekend. You know the food is good when you go to a table and it looks like the plate was licked clean! Their chocolate chunk sea salt cookies and the apple pies were so popular. Everyone couldn't stop raving about it. The service and staff were also on point. Highly recommend!

Terrible business practices. Planned my 2020 wedding with Girl Fig caters. They were more than helpful at changing our date due to covid postponement. However, when we finally got a new date we found their prices went up 20-25%, and therefore put them out of our budget. When we tried to get back our $3800 deposit (which we made in good faith that we'd be getting the contracted rates), they refused. I strongly feel that since the terms of the contract changed so drastically, we should be entitled to a full (or at the very least a partial) refund. They've refused and stop answering my emails. All of the other vendors we worked with on our 2020 covid postponed wedding have been reasonable and helpful, I truly wish I could say the same for girl and the fig! I'll be reporting to the BBB.

The Girl The Fig in the Sonoma Square: which is part of the Sonoma Hotel is a restaurant you need not miss . This is a classic and beautiful place for lunch. Phenomenal menu. Pastis scented steamed mussels. Fig and arugula salad. Wild flounder meunière. Spring onion risotto. And the wine list, duly noted the varied selection which in and of itself is impressive. Can't say enough great things about this restaurant. Nailed it on all fronts...

I cannot recommend The Girl and The Fig. I've dined with them several times in the past and recently; the staff have been friendly overall but the food has been mediocre at its best (food often coming out cold). I've given The Girl and The Fig many chances; but the food quality is too hit or miss for me especially at the price point. I've also heard that their company doesn't support the peaceful Black Lives Matter movement and that's enough reason by itself.
