Modelo's Market Cafe - Somerville

I was pleasantly surprised when I randomly stopped in at this restaurant. The selection of unique baked goods was impressive - from yucca almond cheese cookies to Brazilian staples like cheese bread and variants of flan. The items tasted very fresh, even though we arrived just before closing time. The staff was warm and welcoming, which made the overall experience even better. I will definitely be returning as I found the food to be delicious and reasonably priced. It was a pleasant surprise to find such tasty options across different types of food items.

I had a great experience at Modelo Market Cafe! The staff is friendly and always smiling. Their corn cake is the best I've ever tasted. Along with delicious baked goods, they have a variety of meats and other items perfect for a barbecue. Their lunch buffet is also fantastic. I highly recommend stopping by this cafe!

The staff at this restaurant was extremely friendly. If you speak Portuguese or are ordering a dish without any adjustments, it should be fine. However, I have a dairy allergy and didn't feel confident that they knew what I was asking for. The acai was scooped out of a tub, which seemed to be a common practice at many places now. It was served frozen and too cold to eat right away. They poured a large amount of honey on top from a huge container, making it overly sweet. The iced coffee, while pre-made like most places, was strong yet smooth. I would consider returning for a coffee and possibly to do some work.

Food is good. Service varies imo. Atmosphere is decent if you’re used to bakeries in Brazil.

Super friendly staff. They treat you like family with love. Amazing food! Ask for vegetarian options you will get amazing new things!
