Five Horses Tavern - Somerville

The menu was very good with vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options and the staff was very nice. I have the potato tacos and they were amazing. this place also has an extensive whisky menu that was a plus.

I love the white buzz hummus more than can describe pie and the Kale salad is also good. I also recommend the kartoffel tacos :p

Of the five horses tavern on a road trip through the new england states (thanks them happy cow app:) this place is super cool and trendy for adults of all age groups. it had a really good mood, inside and outside seats, and above all, was open late for us traveling and was still packed inside. everything on the menu is well marked with many vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. I think some more have been added since the visit in the summer as at the time there were 2 vegan and gluten-free (together) options: the red curry and the mushroom enchiladas. both were terrible. the curry was not a taste and all heat. even my hot/spicy-food-loving friend couldn't eat it. the mushrooms enchiladas were also crunchy and blande. both meals were also expensive. we are not picky men, but these meals were just terrible. if we live in the opposite, we would try to give them some of the other options next time to give them feedback and a fair chance.

Recently discovered this place so that there are several selected vegan options on the menu. Good place for vegan, vegetarian or allergic. the vegan options are quality, which is the key. I hope more people follow their lead. they have not listed vegan desserts, but maybe they will sell some of the local vegan bakers desserts.

Friendly staff and a great location. Atmosphere was comfortable and the food was good. We’ll be back if ever in the area.
