About this fantastic eco-friendly weingut weinberg built in south-east KY. it is absolutely stunning. the wee is so amazing. the owner was super sweet friendly. the hummingbird blush niagara bear berry mead .3 of my favorite, but all are very big! will definitely go back also the landscape is absolutely beautiful.
We stopped in on our way to Lexington and we are so glad we did! Host was so welcoming and gave us options of things to do on the rest of our journey ! Thanks so much for having us!
I stopped by as I was in the area, and while the location is beautiful they no longer grow any grapes. The owner said that they had some diseases and died over the years, and it is a lot of work to replant new vines. So, now he buys them from other wineries. I did taste the wines and enjoyed them. They are decent wines and I bought a few bottles to take home.
We stopped by, hoping for a tour of the vineyard and a tasting. As it turns out, there isn't anything to tour. The owner said they haven't had a crop in a few years and having been bringing grapes from elsewhere to make their wine. We did get to sample a few wines and took home a bottle of Hummingbird Blush and Once in a Blue Moon blueberry . The owner was extremely nice but I'm afraid this winery may be winding down.
