Bidrage med feedbackA nice atmosphere, dear and competent staff and an excellent, constantly changing eating draw us back to the cozy pub. in the upper part you can reserve tables, we prefer to sit in the ground comfortably at the counter. there you also have a good look into the kitchen and can watch the chef on the finger :-) shorter can be a way from the heart to the hospitable now really not! about the guiness you don't have to speak separately...just tasty. and whiskeykenner find with certainty the one or other special drops in the regal. a great experience are also the varied events....we find the scarriff is always worth a visit!
A wonderful evening. the presented whiskeys – it was also a poitin – were very interesting. the background information was mixed with the own experiences of the Whiskey-Sommelière and were therefore particularly entertaining. after the first whiskeys there was a pheasant herbal soup. some whiskeys later as the main course a perfectly seasoned and on the point in the film garter atlantiklachs an romanesco and rosmarindrillingen. the dessert consisted of a black and white mousse with whiskey fruits, melons and strawberries. my friend, who doesn't like fish at all, was made the offer that another dish is prepared for her. She then decided to try the salmon first and then was completely thrilled so that the cook personally cried her as greeting the house another piece. at the farewell (by the way, we went to the house with several recruits) the question: “Does it still be a piece of laughs for on the way?” so for me always!
The scarriff gets 5 out of 5 points alone for the excellent kitchen. fish, desserts and price performance absolutely measured. quality extraordinary.
With high expectations have tried as the striplion from the beefer (800 degrees of) and were unfortunately disappointed. certainly the meat is not bad, but if it is advertised with “incomparable meat” by “famous Irish pasture rivers” and you can offer it at a price of €29.50 you just have to bring more to the teller than good standard. such a meat quality and also preparation I get less and sometimes even better in other restaurants in solingen for about 10€. positiw was that the chef came to the table and took our notes personally and immediately offered a dessert as a small reparation. this came in the form of the whisky pot then also quickly, but unfortunately only confirmed the impression of the main course. here too, the taste was fine again, but at a regular price of 6.50€ you can expect more than deep coolers in whisky “reweeneds” with a ball finished ice. so it remains the conclusion, no total failure but inappropriate prices.
