Bidrage med feedbackThe Piano Bar at The Oberoi Gurgaon is really top end, swish place. Go there if you celebrating something! We went there last night for our anniversary 28th, can you beat that? . There were hardly any guests there for a Friday night expect for one lady atvthe abr and a late night entry by a loud orporate group . The bar overlooks the lovely water body, which reflects the lights beautifully. Ambience: super.<br/ We had drinks and snacks. Along witb the drinks you get soya chips and a Japanese mix of wasabi nuts and sesame peanuts. The snacks are from Amaranta menu. We had fish varuval, lamb shammi kabab and Goan pork sausages in a crispy pastry. <br/ The service is excellent, food is tasty. My only complaint would be the portion size: woefully small for the price. The waiter, I think heard me complain on the portion size, and got us another plate of the Pork dish complimentary! <br/ Also the bill will burn a hole in your pocket, but what the hell we were celebrating after all!<br/ <br/
What better way to destress after a long day of meetings in Gurgaon, than to spend some time at the Piano bar. <br/ <br/ The props at the entrance are very artistic. And there is a guy who plays some soulful music on the piano in the bar. <br/ <br/ The single malt options are not many, but enough to keep you going. Service is good and they don't make you wait for too long for refills : .<br/ <br/ Certainly expensive, but hey! It's Oberoi and its Gurgaon : .
The Oberoi's at Udyog Vihar is a magnificent edifice standing calm and jubilant. There is a fine pride stated by the structure itself which detaches you perfectly from the city life pandemonium!<br/ A story unfurls in front of you as you enter with flambeaux in a body of water spread vast till you are met with bright lights welcoming you to join the euphoric experience they have to offer!<br/ <br/ Warm and friendly staff right from the valet to the guard and the ever courteous Pushkar at the Piano Bar made my day a tad bit more worth thanking for!<br/ <br/ Piano Bar is well appointed and bright. A perfect place to discuss work at length or just mingle with a few friends. It has an extended pleasure of the Cigar Lounge for those who relish a good rolled Cigar with the rare single malt from the vast collection of spirits.<br/ <br/ I appreciate finesse in service and a keen eye for detail. This came naturally to the team here. Each member from Baljinder to the young trainee and the manager were very proactive and deferential. We were celebrating our friend's birthday and were offered a delicious cake by the team which was much appreciated and the lady pianist was kind to play us the birthday tune!<br/ <br/ Food was good. We had the sumptuous Non Vegetarian and Vegetarian Platters served to us. My favourites were the Mutton Shammi kebabs, Tandoori Prawns and the Dahi Kebabs. The Dahi Kebabs are delectable so much so we ordered a separate portion again! I found the variety in the vegetarian platter rather pleasing.<br/ <br/ In a Nutshell, this is an Impeccable package of good food and service. A must try!<br/ Smiles!
Piano bar, rather intelligibly, gets its name from the large piano and the accompanying pianist who occasionally add a soothing melody to your evening cocktail. This augments the Piano Bar experience, which, in addition to facing the gorgeous Oberoi infinity pool, is extremely well decorated. Replete with a 4 seater private/cigar room, a lovely marble top bar and an elegant aesthetic on the whole, this is easily one of the best 5 star bars in Gurgaon.<br/ <br/ The food menu, as one would expect, is rather limited and has a handful of veg and non veg snacks.<br/ <br/ 1. The fried garlic prawn dish is perfectly fried but lacks the wow factor given its price. It could do with an accompanying sauce in my opinion to counter balance the dryness.<br/ <br/ 2. The chicken Tikkas have a nice sassy flavour (though I still feel they could have had more sassyness).<br/ <br/ 3. The potato and pea veg Samosa was fantastic with a lovely thick paste like texture to the filling.<br/ <br/ 4. The chicken satay was perfectly tender and the accompanying peanut paste was suitably tasty. Decent praise coming from someone who doesn't like satay.<br/ <br/ The cocktails, on the other hand, are absolutely fantastic. The Wasabi martini was suitably pungent and surprisingly refreshing. It could have been even better had they not toned down the Wasabiness. I would also strongly recommend the green apple martini. It is easily the best one I've tried in a while. I couldn't try the Cajun spiced martini but have heard high praise in its favour through reputable sources.<br/ <br/ All in all, my bar of choice in Gurgaon if you throw a couple of bucks my way.<br/ <br/ Disclaimer I have been to Piano Bar twice and have tried each of the aforementioned dishes and drinks atleast once.
<br/ Amazing restaurant with a great ambiance. Once you enter the hotel you realise that you are cut from the rest of the city's hustle. Place is so peaceful and calm. The restaurant has a great buffet with a very good mix of food. Felt the buffet area was slightly cramped however the food was excellent. Indian menu was excellent and the biriyani was superb. Definitely pricy and a must visit if you have that special occasion. Staff was very accommodating. Will visit again. <br/
