Typical Italian ice cream. large selection of self-made ice. nice operation, and very large balls. the egg was super delicious. great price/performance ratio. next time I'm in soest, I'll come back.

If you like traditional Italian ice cream (served by real Italians), this is the best place outside of Italy to enjoy it. There are two basic options: 1. The economic option - go to the counter and get a cone or a cup (same price) with 1-3 balls (1 Euro per ball) of ice cream. I like the Amaretto and the Stratiatella best. 2. The more elaborate option (works well for trips with elderly parents or hot dates) - Just sit down at one of their many tables and ask for the menu. You can pick anything. It is all excellent. Very excellent - in fact much too excellent. It is sinfully good. You can (and some do) get addicted to their stuff. The location of the cafe is at the old market place of Soest. This is a good place to stop after (or before AND after) you visit the many medieval sights of the city.
