Otztal Back - Sölden

Well, first visit was Ok, good snacks for a quick breakfast. But on Sunday we nailed it, place was open as everyone now in Germany and Austria many places close to that day, we came there for a breakfast and showcase was empty and lady said we only have coffee..we will just ask why? If you're open? Just selling a coffee? Nearly no places for breakfast, but few places with a coffee.

Good and cheap snacks. Average coffee. Service with a smile if it is not overcrowded. We went to breakfast through the World Cup weekend. We felt the cashier was stressed. Couple days later, when the place was almost empty, they dug us with a smile.

The coffee was cold and my glass was chipped, I explained to the staff and they tried to pour the coffee into another glass. I explained that I was not satisfied as I thought the chip of glass might be in the coffee. To this I was rudely spoken to and ignored. The staff the shop were rude, unhelpful and I would not recommend this store if it was the only coffee shop in the Obergurgl.

I visited the Öztal Bäck in Gemeindestrasse and it seemed really new. A very clean and fresh cafe. Good selections of sandwiches and pastries. Really good cafe macchiatos. Nice waiters who spiked really good English. The only downside was that the toilets was outside in the stair case downwards to the parking garage and was shared with other restaurants in the building.

The Otztal Back has become one of our favorite stops in Soelden for our annual early season trip. Wide range of bakery and a fun, informal atmosphere.
