Sal's Of Smithtown

Pizza is so overpriced and not worth the money.. everytime i go to this place theres NO pizza EVER ready when they open.. makes zero sense also dont understand how they never have chicken for a restaurant... all they basically sell is pizza everyday.. ive stopped going to sals. cant believe the difference compared to when they first opened what a shame

Not really sure what u experienced today. I ordered via slice and when I got there they told me the slice app was down. Not their fault- but I ordered a pie and a salad, they told me they don't do salads. Their menu on slice was extensive, confused why that would be. Also heard someone ask for garlic knots which they also didn't have. Then I had to wait 20 min for my pie. The place is tiny with boxes everywhere you turn. The pizza was decent. For the 1,000 pizza places on LI they need to step up their game. Confused if it is was just today or if they don't normally have a menu.

They have a variety selections of pizza. We had the best pepperoni pizza and it was freshly baked. SO GOOD!

I'll Start by saying that the young lady behind the counter was extremely cheerful, very nice and quite helpful. I got just 1 slice of the upside down Sicilian. It was pretty good, crust was airy yet very crisp with a very nice flavor, my only complaint would be that the slice needed more sauce a bit dry, I've gotten the upside down slice's at L&B spumoni gardens in Brooklyn and also at Rose's in Maspeth queens . Nothing beats Rosa's Rosa's is the best I've ever had, So everything else to me pales in comparison . I got the slice at Sal's and nothing else, price was $4.00 which I thought was about average. I wanted to dine in and eat but there were only three tables and they were all taken. They were friendly people with good food and great service so I will be going back. All of there pizza looked good, especially the bbq slice.

Food took two hours to arrive and had little to no tatse. Delivery guy literally turned the pie upside down while trying to get it out of the bag. Wasn't honestly worth the wait or hype.
