A bit deceptive, as it looks from the outside and needs a little renovation. the lacquering outside, is blown and dirty and the wooden window frames are largely rotted and would definitely benefit from being replaced. However, if they let the outside view turn them off, they will miss a contract. the inner is fairly clean and tidy, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the eating is good, easy, layre. we went for £5.95 all they want breakfast, unlimited tees on the top it was great. good selection of the usual English breakfast options, including: roasted eggs, mushrooms, hash brown, borons, tomatoes, speck and sausages, all really delicious. the extra choice of a yorkshire puddings (big and beautifully baked) was quite unusual, but, from yorkshire, I had to have one, and to my joy, it was a great idea. the chefs, often the food dishes with well prepared fresh food. they can never fail their toast from the transport toaster (as on holiday in hotels in the country,) and the PG tips tee. they can of course get an breakfast in the hotel, but not to these trips and for me, hotel breakfast is never as delicious and plentiful as this. Car parking requires that they register at the entrance, but it is free (other hospitality providers should note) so they can relax and enjoy the great eating here.

Just had a smashing meal here, the service was excellent and very friendly. Everywhere was lovely and clean too, felt a nice safe environment. I highly recommend this Toby, oh and my baked cheesecake was absolutely yummy.

The food was delicious as always. The staff was very friendly and courteous (my husband loves his plate piled high). They were also very kind to my little girls, aged 3 and 5, making them feel very welcome.

The food was good and very reasonably priced. It was a satisfying hot meal with everything included. Parking is easy during the weekdays. The service could have been better at the start; my friend had to engage with the staff to get their full attention. However, after that initial hiccup, everything went well. They still serve breakfast, which I plan to try sometime.

We had a reservation for a table of nine people, which was quite a large group, but our server was outstanding. She was very attentive and friendly, making the whole service experience fantastic. As always, the food was exceptional and perfectly suited for our group. We were two small groups coming from different parts of the country, and this Toby's was the perfect place for us to meet in the middle.
