Bidrage med feedbackI had dinner in the hotel restaurant after a day full drive. it was recommended by an American couple that I met over eating and service rave. I think they were in another restaurant. the restaurant is very beautiful looking. that's... where the positive ends. there was a very big antipasto buffet that looked wild and old. I refused. the menu sound good. I started with a vegetable soup that had no taste at all. I think it was a nice dealer, but no way to really say it. the brot was full. the packed broth sticks were the only thing I enjoyed. I grilled a mixed fish. what I was served: a charred middle garnel (in Italian style with head and bowl still up and carburized until it was impossible to scratch meat from the dish). two baked pieces thinner fish resemble the cash. Maybe they were baked. they were limpy, barely warm and unusable. the brothcrumbs had no taste and created more of a paste than crust. there was another fish, no warning what. about 4 centimeters total with a flat braided head and back in the same tasteless material as the other fish baked. limp and hardly warm. I tried to scrape the brothcrumbs to get some fish, but it was pointless. When I told the waiter that eating was terrible, he crumbled and told me to write about it tomorrow. don't worry that I literally couldn't eat it. the hotel has a unique location with incredible views. the bar has a large outdoor terrace and can be a wonderful place to enjoy a cocktail before dinner. but they serve mediocre weeping and their snacks are crisp cracker rings, a few olives and mysterious kartoffel chips. they cannot even order a decent snack without a cheese. Nothing. what a waste of premier real estate in a region where tourist are ready to pay for a good experience. the whole food experience here is simply sad. all this wonderful potential and they would do better to serve pizza and panini instead of the pathetic attempt to live means to exorbitant preisen. save your money. eat somewhere else.
I ordered the zucchini soup as a starter and it was clearly underwhelming. it was gland, had no indication of a garnel, no decent companions and was hardly tepid that I had to ask him to warm it. for the main course, my partner had a pork, which was delicious but hard and he had to ask for a steak knife to cut it. I had a small but juicy part of the rabbit, who came with two small pieces of roast potatoes and absolutely nothing else on the plate. Since no supplements were listed on the menu, we assumed that they were included, but that was not the case. We had to see the wine list three times and only get the wine with the second cure. the restaurant is located in a large room and almost all tables were full, but we did not find the personal to be particularly attentive or eager to be. In short, we found the experience of eating here disappointing. this restaurant has the trappings of fine eating, but not the substance.
We spend a week in the hotel monteconero, with dinner in merlin cocai. first we were influenced by the buffet, which included a super wide variety of specialities: roasted vegetables, sink, cheese, salad, salamis, in oily vegetables., impressive an evening meal in itself! second, each afterts there...maybe 4 last but not least dessert also change and with our favorite: chocolate salami. excellent cookie as dessert. what they were friendly enough to ask the cook to come out and explain the reception to us, fabulous! So if they are near ancona, they make the time to escape to the magnificent natural environment in monteconero, they spend night and dinner in merlin cocai, they are reminded!
We came the first night after check-in because we were tired after a long trip. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. After we had set ourselves, a private party in the adjoining room began, which was essentially a rock concert, so loud we did not. a conversation or the server could hear. the dining room should be closed. eating was not great, not sure if it was because the kitchen was occupied with the party. among the appetizers were the equivalent of canned bums and roasted kartomas that were chewing. the most important courses - steak and schweinesteak - were better, though still dry and a bit too salty. red wine was good with an inconspicuous aroma. we did not go back and would not recommend it based on this experience, except they are too tired to leave the hotel.
Stunning views augment the delicious food. Helpful staff cater to your needs as you soak up the surrounding scenery and gaze out over the coast. The Monastery has a lovely feel to it and the history behind it make it the perfect place to stay.
