Il Giardino Degli Aranci - SIRACUSA

If you want to experience a truly authentic Sicilian restaurant outside of the city at a reasonable price, then this is the place. Plenty of parking on site there are huge outdoor and indoor seating areas, so I would imagine there is no need to book. It seemed popular with locals and tourists. The restaurant opens at 8pm. The menu was in Italian but we managed to translate most of it via google. There was some ordering confusion, so that two of our party didn’t receive quite what they were expecting and we discovered that peperoni is actually red pepper here and not pepperoni. The wine list was small but the wine that we ordered was very reasonably priced and tasted good. Unfortunately some of the bruschetta that we had ordered was a little damp and had a soapy taste however the pizza was delicious and tirimisu amazing.

Sadly the Frito Misto was not at all what we expected, it was just fried calamari and fried tinned shrimp!!! Sitting on the edge of the Mediterranean we hoped for more!! It was very difficult to get the attention of the waiter after we had made a complaint. Would not go back again!

We choose this restaurant since it was suggest by Marco of Agriturismo Papyrus. The staff was all helpful and they have a wide range of pizzas which after all was amazing.

December lunch together with my husband and two other friends we had a great time, superior to expectations, ideal place for families with children, tranquility, and friendly staff and the owner made us feel comfortable, we also bought good bio products, we will be back soon

Always excellent pizza, friendliness and respect of anti covid measures with control of the green step. Oh, great!
