Cartagine City - SIRACUSA

Awful. It's really hard to find a combination of really bad food and shockingly bad service like this in Italy. We dropped in for dinner because the place we intended to go was full, we would have been better off not eating at all. I'm sorry, I have absolutely nothing good to say about this restaurant.

Located next to the water, on a little terrace above the street level, really nice. A variety of seafood and pasta on the menu. They didn’t have 3 of 4 ordered dishes spagetti vongole, risotto funghi and spada gratin ? My wife was recommended gamberetti instead of vongole and accepted, whereafter the waiter came back and said they were out of spagetti!? My sons ordered calamare, one fried and the other grilled, folkowing which the waiter tried to make them order the same !? . No wine list, but they had wine. My 17-year ols son, who ordered a regular portion grilled calamare, got 2 small pieces calamare smaller than any kids portion I’ve seen. When asking the waiter about it, he just raised his shoulders and walked away. The food was good, but with the variety of restaurants in the area this is NOT the place to go to.

We arrived in place that we were greeted by alfredo who immediately made us smile with his kindness and attention that he has towards his customers. but to take us even more was the real dinner: recommending us from alfredo we started dinner with a great mixed fried fish from the most generous portions and, subsequently, we continued with the cous: simply s u b l i m e! cous rich of fish, very tasty and, also this, very abundant (they could eat quietly in people. ) who visits ortigia and is a fish lover and, above all, of cous cous, can not miss a visit to the city of cartography. when you do your work with love you see and this is exactly what you can notice with alfredo and its restaurant. the price, finally, is also a positive note as you pay the right (and maybe even something less.) thank you, we will definitely return to our next visit to siracusa!
