When in Ortigia, you must come sit by the sea, have a cappucino, a cannoli, a sweet brioche, a toasted sandwich for breakfast at Calarossa Cafe. Fresh squeezed orange juice complements the Ionian sea with it's beautiful red rose color. Salvatore and the staff are so friendly and will even cut the cannolo in half for sharing. We went 6 days in a row to enjoy.
A very rude owner denies me the use of the toilet despite my urgency. Apparently only customers were allowed to use the bathroom. Not an answer you would expect, I thought people were gentle and kind in this town.
