Kaladi's Bistro - Sioux Falls

We used to love this place for our favorite breakfast in Sioux Falls, but not anymore. We ordered food that took 45 minutes to receive part of our order, while the owner/cook sat in the window eating and laughing, leaving customers waiting. My hash browns arrived undercooked as I finished my meal. The staff mentioned that since new ownership took over, every employee has left, and the remaining two are leaving after today. The pancakes, which used to be excellent, are now terrible. Overall, the new ownership has been a disappointment.

I used to enjoy this restaurant, but my recent experience was disappointing. I stopped by for a coffee and a quiet place to work, but the service was severely understaffed. It took 30 minutes to receive my cappuccino, after having to specifically request it instead of regular coffee. Then, 40 minutes later, the waitress appeared to demand payment without any mention of the coffee or offering additional items. When I did not leave a tip on my card, the waitress became upset and ignored me for the rest of my visit. As a former server myself, I found this behavior disappointing and it was unfortunate to see this decline in service quality at a place I once enjoyed.

To start off, I was seated in a booth that was so broken and tipped on the end that I nearly slid off onto the floor. There were only two other tables of guests and one server. I had to ask for extra napkins three times before I received them and never got offered a drink refill. The restaurant was dusty and grimy, making it hard to wait for my ride in the entrance. Despite the decent food, the restaurant seems to think highly of itself but falls short in reality.

I always try to stop here for brunch when visiting Sioux Falls even though it seems to be a little out of the way for me. I like the atmosphere, food is fresh, hash browns aren?t greasy, and the service is excellent. Today I tried the Eggstravaganza omelet& hash browns highly recommend. I?d choose this restaurant over a chain restaurant any day! This place seems great forfamilies, meeting up with friends, and if you?re visiting solo. (Thanks for the excellent service, Kassie!

We used to be regulars, but our last three visits have been disasters and we will not be returning. Pros: coffee and iced tea are always amazing! Love their drinks. Their steak salad is AMAZING. Hostesses are always kind and friendly andaccommodating. Cons: 1. Kitchen staff shouldn't use the restroom and or go out and smoke with their work aprons still on.... sounsanitary and saw it from multiple staff!!! 2. We waited almost a full hour for our plates and the restaurant was not full.Many people behind us had eaten and actually were packing up before we got our food 3.My children's pancakes were sitting atthe window for at least 15 minutes and were somehow overcooked and cold at the same time. My hashbrowns were pucks by the timethey got to me, cold and tooth breakingly crunchy.
