Bidrage med feedbackStopped in when traveling through Sioux City, we had some hope after struggling to find a place for coffee and breakfast take out on a Sunday. The line was out the door which we thought might mean it was great and worth the wait. We soon found out that the long wait times are just due to poor management and lack of other options. We finally got up to the counter and ordered turkey club, a few breakfast burritos, hot latte, and an iced tea. The iced tea came in a hot cup when they had iced drink cups right next to them. The lattes only come with one shot, you have to pay extra for each additional, standard amount of shots for the size of drink would be 2 3. So after paying extra to get 3 shots, they made the “latte” with one shot, some brewed coffee, and some milk. We did’t care, we were ready to leave. We got in the car and ate on the road. The turkey club was okay, I got it on bread instead of the wrap. Since I requested it toasted, the cook came out and asked what I meant by toasted and if I want it on bread as it usually was a wrap. The menu indicated it was a sandwich so I’m glad she checked after seeing the tortillas that were used for the burritos. Sadly the burritos were rather unimpressive. We got the Iowegian and the Southwestern. Both were flavorless and soggy. Like a microwaved tortilla with an insignificant amount of egg and cheese inside. Not to mention the varying temperatures half the burritos piping hot and half cold. I really hate to leave a negative review but for having over 4 stars on google this is not what we were expecting. I think this business could thrive with some real help. Some help with efficiency, better quality materials and ingredients used, and overall operation and organization could go a long way. Clearly the locals support this business and keep them going, so it would be great for them to use the amount of business they get to their advantage and level up instead of cheaping out and cutting unnecessary corners that make for a negative experience. There seems to be potential here but it is certainly not being met as it stands.
Out of stock, slow service, small variety on donuts, no idea on coffee
Amazing donuts. Great coffee. New location.I come back every time i come thru town.
We found Jitters while looking for a quick breakfast bite, near the hotel. The place has a great, comfortable vibe and the most personable staff. The food is delicious and fair priced. We also bought a day-old donut and a made-to-order. Both were so good and we wouldn't have guessed that the day-old wasn't made that morning! We will absolutely stop in the next time we're in the area.
The Breakfast Wrap was microwaved, mushy, chewy, and completely devoid of flavor. The donut machine was acting funny so it would be over an hour wait for donuts . The milk frother was not working so no Latte 's. The menu board has no info on food. It just lists a price for a breakfast wrap After waiting through a long line, it 's my turn to order. I am handed a menu to quickly glance at while 8 other people are standing behind me waiting to order. At the same time she moves the fresh donuts that were sitting in front of her, and sets them up on the counter 8in from my chest. Open top. Someone else 's donuts. She called no name, made to gestures to anyone. She was just moving them to write on something else. That was a nice tease after being told it would be over an hour wait for a donut. They smelled nice. Very awkward and clunky service. Friendly but broken. My visit was constant frustration from start to finish all the way down to exiting and the wrong door is unlocked forcing you to open the door that blocks the entire 3ft walkway to get in the place. I did an awkward dance with a lady trying to come in when i was leaving. The decore is nice. Coffee was mediocre, but 2 stars because it was cheap. . . .Update 10min later There was a substantial amount of large chunks of coffee beans at the bottom of my cup. Here 's a picture but there was much more. I swallowed them, choked and am now picking them out of my teeth.
