Bidrage med feedbackI went to Tuk Tuk for dessert because Hillion did not have many dessert options. I ordered the DIY Shibuya toast with ice cream, where you can choose 1 ice cream flavor (Thai milk tea, coconut, or chocolate), 2 toppings (various cereals), and 1 sauce (caramel, chocolate, honey, or Gula Melaka). The ice cream scoop was quite generous, although the Thai milk tea flavor was not very strong. The toasted/fried pieces of bread were well done, resembling giant croutons. The toastiness of the bread paired with the crunchiness of the toast was enjoyable. Adding melted ice cream to the toast created a slightly soggy/crispy texture that was quite good. The toppings seemed unnecessary as they made the dish overly sweet (with the exception of coconut shavings). Personally, I believe the ice cream scoop toast alone is sufficient. If the ice cream had a stronger milk tea flavor, it would improve the dish. Overall, for $8.90 without additional charges, it was a pretty good dessert option.
I am a fan of Thai food and who can resist the deliciousness of Thai cuisine? I was thrilled to find that Tuk Tuk Cha retains the authenticity of Thai food, and I was excited to try some authentic dishes here. I was impressed by the generous portion sizes, making it great value for money. The Phat Thai dish was fantastic, with rice noodles stir-fried with large fresh prawns, fried beancurd, egg, bean sprouts, and topped with crushed peanuts, chili flakes, and half a lime. It was flavorful and delicious, blending all the ingredients perfectly. The Thai Stir-Fry menu is only available at Hillion Mall and NEX, and the Beef Noodles were also amazing, with plenty of stewed beef, beef slices, and beef balls in a herby broth. The tender beef slices, flavorful stewed beef, bouncy beef balls, and silky smooth noodles made it a delightful dish. After the main course, I couldn't resist trying the Shibuya Toast dessert, specifically the Aloha Coconut Toast, which was heavenly. The crispy and fluffy toast paired perfectly with the sauce and the coconut ice cream. It was a delicious treat for any coconut lover. I also enjoyed the signature Thai Milk Tea, especially in float form, which was rich, aromatic, and indulgent without being overly sweet. The addition of ice cream made it even more creamy and delicious. Overall, I had a great dining experience at Tuk Tuk Cha, with warm service from the staff at the Hillion Mall outlet. I will definitely be back. (Instagram: @zoey_belle)
