The French Ladle - Singapore

If I recall correctly, we started with the Rillettes de Canard Foie Gras, and let me tell you, this single dish was worth the trip on its own! Next, we enjoyed the Duck Confit Parmentier. It was tasty, although we missed having a plump whole duck leg, which is only available for dinner. I can’t remember the exact name of one dish due to my poor French, so I'll just describe it: it was a hearty grilled chicken served on a bed of deliciously stewed vegetables. I never imagined that olives could blend so beautifully with vegetables! The chicken was perfectly brined with crispy skin—truly the works. For dessert, we had profiteroles, and you absolutely must not miss these! The set lunch also includes a choice of coffee or tea. The restaurant has a cozy, rustic vibe and serves high-quality French cuisine prepared with care, all at very reasonable prices. Overall, it’s an excellent spot for a date or a lovely evening out!

If you enjoy beef, the red wine beef is a must-try dish; it melts in your mouth. The portion sizes are generous and reasonably priced. I look forward to visiting again. The French Ladle is a delightful place run by a lovely couple.

This is a great place to have a cozy and intimate time with your loved ones while enjoying delicious and comforting food. It's clear that Johnny and Lisa put their heart and soul into preparing each dish for their customers. I plan to keep coming back for as long as possible!

I really enjoyed the food at this small and cozy restaurant. It's a laid-back spot with no pretensions, yet the quality of the food is excellent.
