Bidrage med feedbackWithout a doubt one of the hottest openings in singapore this week. Such a great breath of fresh air to see the old hallowed ground of CHEEK transformed into this fun, funky and soulful joint. Chef Rishi never fails to disappoint. Everything we ordered was delicious and we will be back to try more of the menu. Great fun, funky atmosphere perfect for our fun date night. The chicken liver eclairs are a must order. We ordered them twice. Yup.
Ordered delivery during phase 2 heightened alert. Was pleasantly surprised and ended with a belly happy . Kale salad was crisp n fresh . Padon peppers burnt and tasty , burrata was creamy yet light . Despite fish n chip was delivered it was crispy , tartare sauce went well with it . Shout out to personal Favourite the cheese bread with comte cream. The star was the Lamb racks, perfectly roasted! Would be back again definitely .
We had the mushroom on toast (tasty but quite small portion), fried quail which was very good, fish and chips (soft and fluffy), striploin steak (very well cooked) and the crab cakes (not bad but very small portion). On the whole it was an interesting experience worth trying. You can see the influence of the chef's former mentor when the place was cheek by jowl.
Nice and cozy spot, felt like the tables were spaced out generously so we could enjoy the dinner by ourselves. Every single dish was well thought and delicious. My favourite were the lamb ribs as well as the cheese balls. I can see myself returning when i feel like i deserve a treat. But by no means would i say the food is very expensive either.
We had: 1. The fried quail (5/5 super yummy) 2. Beef whole wheat taco (5/5 delicious) 3. Peppers (4/5) The wine service was great. We were well looked after. The vibe is quirky yet Lux with an extensive wine menu. There are the booths with a couch to sit at alternatively you could sit near where the partially open kitchen is. Overall I recommend as a good wine small plates experience. For more reviews experiences see “taniameter” on Instagram.
