Hen House Cafe - Simla

This business is closed, and is now Momma Smith's Cafe . . . which I highly recommend for their burgers!

We just stopped at the Hen House and had the best home cooked meal. The burgers were great. But the pies were the best we have had on our cross country road trip. I consider myself a bit of a pie expert having grown up with a grama who was the best. These pies were the best. The owner and cook came out a to chat with us and helped us find some antique shops that were off the beaten path. A unique and delicious place to eat. Don't pass it by. Also take time to write in the journals she has and read what others have written.

We ate at lunch and it was pretty good... Best homeade pies I have eaten ... I had the hen burger with extra party... Mistake, their patties are 1/3 or 1/2 pound, so OMG IT WAS HUGE.. Everything on it totally delish... Wife had a turkey club on croissant... Pies are Devine... Small menu basics in the burger and sandwich category but all good...
