Olivios Trattoria - Simi Valley

Visit Ralph's and you'll find that their Caprese Salad consists of just one tomato and four slices of mozzarella. They drown it in so much oil and vinegar that it feels like you're drinking it straight from the bottle. I can only imagine my Italian grandmother turning in her grave over this. I can make better croutons at home—at least mine aren’t burnt or stale, thanks to my toaster. Their bread doesn't even qualify as bread or focaccia; it's just a brioche you could buy at any local grocery store. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. They honestly shouldn’t still be in business.

This is undoubtedly the best Marinara sauce I've ever tasted on the West Coast! It's incredibly vibrant and bursting with flavor—no scorched taste or bitterness from overcooked tomatoes. Thank you! The Chicken Marsala is simply divine, so smooth and delicious. The Chicken Piccata is nice and tender. And the Tiramisu? It’s a delightful treat for the taste buds—absolutely superb. The service is excellent and very attentive. Look no further; this place has it all!

The food was fantastic, and the service provided by the young staff was impressive. I was pleasantly surprised by their attentiveness, as young adults often don't prioritize great service. I hope the owner knows they have an exceptional team—make sure to treat them well! This was the best Italian food I've had in a long time.

Nice place inside. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Delicious food with good sized portions. Calamari was very oversalted. Service was attentive although understaffed, although probably due to a very busy weeknight crowd. Chiopino was delicious as was the seafood risotto dish. Teramisu was good freshly made, and the vanilla creme brullei was excellent. Pricing was reasonable. We will definitely go back.
