Shevek Co. - Silver City

This is definitely one of the best restaurants in New Mexico and the Southwest. Delectable food and great service. I highly recommend doing 'Chef 's Choice ', where Shevek interviews you for your preferences and then prepares a meal for you. It is not a place for the impatient, or those with kindergarten palates, but a truly fine restaurant to be savored by real foodies.

I had a wonderful experience here. Close to the best meal of my life, service could be a tad better, but I would def be back for the carrot cake!

Ate here last night, Oct 12th, 2014. This place is a treasure! We just happened upon it; got in without a reservation. The wait staff was attentive and fun and the food fantastic one of the very best we've ever had. Flavorful...spiced and balanced perfectly. That they use locally available, fresh ingredients whenever possible is a further bonus. They gave great suggestions for food and wine. We described what we liked and they directed us spot on. And then we got the bill... it was about half of what I had initially expected! We should have had a dessert!

Awesome food and a gem to find in this area. Don't count on the wine list....took us 6 tries to finally find a bottle they had in-stock....the list is not that extensive and they should really update the list if they are down that many bottles. Attitude is on the snobby side and the chef who often appears on the floor only has time if you are somebody of note...otherwise forget about a friendly chat. Deserts are neglected compared to the entrees and not worth it in my opinion. Regardless....place is one which I would return to at any time!
