Bidrage med feedbackDo not visit. Had a terrible experience here. The waiter was only favouring Italian’s. She wouldn’t serve us. We sat at the table for ages, then one of us got up to ask for menu’s and just ordered on the spot as we didn’t want to wait another 10min for those. Two or three tables came in after us, who were italian and there was a big group who were italian and had been there for ages and were so rude, ordering non-stop. Everyone got served except us and we had a hungry toddler and One of us was pregnant. We kept asking where the drinks and food were and we only managed to order a vege soup and sausage and she kept saying 1min and then soon and nothing arrived. The soup came out 45min after we arrived! And after an hour we gave up on the sausage. We wasted our 1.5hours up there at this restaurant. We left money on the table for our food and left and complained. She kept saying it was coming, but we saw her serving up the italians everything from drinks, entree, main, desserts and coffees and she couldn’t get a simple meal to a pregnant lady and a toddler?! Unbelievable and unacceptable. This restaurant is in such a beautiful spot, however they need a complete change of staff. The vege soup was delicious, however tiny and very expensive.
We visited Pension Crystal for an evening meal, travelling up by horse drawn carriage from Sils. This was a magical experience in the snow with a clear sky and fantastic stars. The restaurant was welcoming and very homely. It was traditionally decorated. The food was excellent we had deer stew with polenta and red cabbage, and for pudding I had apple compete and cinnamon ice cream and my husband had apple strudel. It was all delicious clearly home cooked and very tasty. The waiter was very friendly and spoke excellent English. Service was quick. This was hearty food rather than fine dining. It wasn't cheap but in my opinion was a fair price for what we had. I would certainly recommend it as a winter destination.
I had already had dinner a few years ago, I stopped for a beer, however I appreciated the friendliness and impeccable service as in the past.
Superlative food (a special mention for the deer ragout with polenta) in the enchanting setting of the Val di Fex. Delicious and quiet restaurant pension, very kind owner and staff!
Small restaurant with a beautiful garden and friendly staff. Unfortunately the food (venison ragout) was very disappointing. There was no menu (with prices) and the bill (rather expensive to our surprise) is written by hand.
