Sierra Hot Springs - Sierraville

What a beautiful and relaxing venue! The pools and tubs are meticulously maintained, featuring both hot and cold plunge options, a sauna, and warm pools. The views are absolutely stunning, and the staff are incredibly friendly. It was a wonderfully peaceful experience. I definitely plan to return, and I hope to stay the night next time!

My wife and I were the only ones there in swimsuits, and she probably should have mentioned it to me. It was that kind of place, if you catch my drift. Overall, it was a lovely spot!

This is a tranquil and relaxing retreat featuring lovely hot springs, all set in a stunning Sierra location. The hotel is well-maintained, beautifully decorated, and offers a high level of comfort. The craftsmanship with woodwork throughout the property is impressive. It’s a perfect place to escape from the distractions of TVs and phone calls, though there's good Wi-Fi and limited cell service available. The kitchen is spacious, well-equipped, and gets busy during peak times, but everyone was courteous and left the space clean. There are helpful signs posted throughout. Guests can enjoy a variety of charming indoor and outdoor spaces to dine, read, or engage in quiet conversations. The shared bathrooms are small but clean and conveniently located. The hot springs, which are the highlight of the experience, can be accessed with a short and pleasant walk from either side of the hotel. They offer a fantastic range of settings and temperatures, ideal for peaceful reflection and relaxation.

It’s quite a walk to reach the pools, and they have a strong sulfur smell.

I stayed at the lodge for one night, and it was a delightful experience! The property has a charming rustic vibe, and the restaurant on the ground floor was fantastic. The staff were all incredibly helpful and welcoming. The hot springs were wonderful, and the overall atmosphere was enjoyable with a great clientele. The property is very peaceful and quiet, making it a perfect retreat. You have the option to go nude in the pool and surrounding areas, although it's not permitted in the lodge's public spaces, which I think is a reasonable compromise. It's important to note that going nude is optional, not mandatory. I chose to go nude, and despite feeling shy at first, I found that everyone was very respectful and created a non-judgmental environment!
