Bidrage med feedbackAlthough we initially thought we were going to try this place for a budget-friendly, light dinner, we discovered it was an authentic restaurant filled with locals and the staff did not speak English. In fact, they seemed a bit bothered to serve foreigners and we felt like we were inconveniencing them. We ordered the Chive cake with rice noodles and used a language card to request a vegan meal, which hopefully helped clarify our dietary needs. It turns out the Chive cakes are accidentally vegan, but the sauce with the noodles may not be. The noodles we were served were plain, allowing us to enhance the flavor with the chili soy sauce provided on the table. At only 4000 ruffles per plate (approximately US$1), the portions were small but so affordable that we could always come back for seconds. We attempted to return for a second visit, but they informed us they were sold out of Chive cake, so we decided to leave. It's unclear if they were simply trying to discourage us from returning.
We decided to try this restaurant for a inexpensive, light dinner. It is a local spot with no English-speaking staff. The staff appeared to be slightly annoyed to serve foreigners and we felt like we were bothering them. We ordered the chive cakes with rice noodles and used a language card to request a vegan meal. The chive cakes are accidentally vegan, but the noodles sauce is not. Thankfully, the noodles we received did not have any sauce, allowing us to add chili soy from the table. Each plate cost only 4000 riel (US$1), and although they were small, they were cheap enough to order seconds. We tried to return for a second visit, but were told they had run out of chive cakes so we left. It is unclear if they were trying to discourage us from returning.
I visited this restaurant looking for an inexpensive, light dinner and found it to be a charming place filled with locals. The staff did not speak English and appeared somewhat bothered by serving foreigners. We ordered the goat cake with rice noodles and used a language card to request a vegan meal. It seems that the goat cakes are accidentally vegan, but the sauce used with the noodles may not be. The noodles we received did not have the perfect sauce, so we added chili soy sauce from the table. Despite being slightly small, the dishes were only 4000 Rill per plate (around US$1), making them very affordable. We attempted to return for a second visit, but were informed that they had run out of cinnamon, so we decided to leave. I'm not entirely convinced they were simply trying to avoid serving us again.
