Bidrage med feedbackThis beautiful five-room, one hundred-year-old log home is ideally located next to the marina and boasts a stunning dining room. The grounds and views are delightful, with recent updates to the bathrooms and mattresses by new owners in December 2016. Despite its cozy and clean atmosphere, the attention to detail seems to be lacking. Upon check-in, we were greeted by two young university students who were only there for a short time and lacked knowledge about the building. They did not perform basic tasks such as sweeping leaves and were unable to operate the fireplace. Unfortunately, we were the only guests in the inn, and dining in the lovely dining room was not possible as the chef would need to be called in to prepare a meal. The wine list was also limited in options. It is evident that the inn is in need of proper direction, leadership, and management. With dedicated staff, marketing efforts, supervision, and structure, this place has the potential to be truly wonderful. At present, it appears to be facing financial and management challenges.
Dine elegantly by the seaside at this restaurant. Though a bit challenging to locate and with limited parking, the new owners provide a memorable experience. Dinner service can be slow, so be sure to make reservations. The food is generally satisfactory.
First visit to this restaurant with my wife on Valentines day and we had a great treat. Food was delicious and well presented. We will go back there again for my birthday next month.
Our family based our decision to dine out at the Latch, based on the menu that they provided to us several weeks in advance of December 25th.6 days before our reservation on the 25th. the Latch changed the menu! Never even offered an apology. What business does that?So we cancelled and of course I had to cook . There wasn't enough time to dine elsewhere as all establishments were booked.
Sadly the previous owners - Luigi and Valeria - have gone. Gone too is the wonderful ambience, superb personalized/Italian cuisine, welcoming family atmosphere and everything that made this a unique dining experience over the past dozen or so years. New owners seem a little out of their depth...confused and unorganized. Food mediocre. Perhaps it will improve as time goes on, but the prices are up and there are other excellent alternatives in the Sidney area.
