The Rising Sun - Sidmouth

Good basic scran. Honest home cooking and a real good old fashioned welcoming local pub. I had the chicken and it was tender and delicious. I think we visited during the main chefs holiday so there may be a different menu when he's back in full cook. Dogs welcome in the pub but they like to keep the dining area dog clear so no problem there you can eat in the rest of the pub with your dog. Good choice of real ales and a bigger choice of box ciders. Didn't break the bank to visit neither. No heirs and graces but lovely friendly staff, I would visit again.

Good old fashioned pub, lovely home cooked food and brilliant beers and ales on tap. Staff very friendly, will definitely be back!

I had the best burger of my life here today! It was a delicious combination of portobello mushroom and halloumi, served with chips and onion rings. My parents enjoyed the pork belly and had nothing but praise for it. I would absolutely recommend this charming pub! Both the chef and the waitstaff were wonderful and incredibly helpful.

The atmosphere is very friendly, the service is excellent and efficient, and it truly feels like a proper pub.

I would recommend enjoying a nice meal here tonight!
