My favorite boba spot. Amazing dessert selection. Great customer service.

If this place was closer to the busy area in Chinatown they would be inundated with customers. I feel bad they are a little far away. They have such great drinks. I love their mango pomelo sago and I've been going through all their special drinks. Nothing has disappointed. And they also have cakes and cookies! You MUST try their crepe cake if you see it as it doesn't seem to be a regular item. Do yourself a favor and give them a try. Parking is free in the building it's in.

Loved my passion fruit green tea with boba pearls. Their baseline sugar level is fairly mellow, which I appreciate. But if you want a very sweet drink you may want to ask for more sugar. So refreshing and light, with chewy, springy boba. Very convenient dessert option for Monkey King Jian Bing right next door!

When you go to Chinatown in Chicago, you will find yourself swimming in a sea of boba shops. As a boba junkie myself, ngl I’m a little boba fatigue. However, I’ve been keep coming back to The Tea Spot for my urge and needs. Thanks to their small operation and not so easy to find location, they’re able to maintain a solid consistency of customer service and drink quality. Fantastic customer service, great menu, adorable cakes! Its tucked away on the second floor but absolutely worth the journey. I had the grapefruit tea with cheese foam and it was definitely my favorite (grapefruit tea/cheese foam) that I’ve had vs other tea shops around. It was sweet, smooth and fresh, perfectly blended. There are a lot of good options on the menu, I can’t wait to come back and try the little cakes/pastries- they have the perfect snack sized light cheesecake!!
