Dreaming of Rye reopening in the spring so I can get another thyme salt bagel

Incredible bagels and world beating cocktails. Best old fashioned in Chicago.

I had the za'atar bagel with roasted eggplant labneh. The za'atar blend is herb forward and delicious 5/5. The bagel texture was great: chewy and suple 5/5. The eggplant spread was lemon forward (maybe heavy handed) and cold. If possible with food safety standards, I think having it served slightly less cold would balance the flavor and experience 4/5. The interior was bright and inviting 5/5. I will certainly visit again.

I am from the East Coast originally and have been on the hunt for the perfect bagel for some time now. Well, my mission is complete and I have to look no further. This thyme and salt bagel is one of the best I have ever had.

Kathleen and Paul made our experience awesome! the food was so good and we were a little confused by the extensive menu but they explained everything in great detail. I would highly recommend this place for the fresh ingredients and awesome staff/customer service.:
