Roots Handmade Pizza — West Town

I like Roots, they have awesome Mozzarella sticks and good pizza. Pizza is cut almost tavern style- it is cut in half and then strips are cut instead of squares. The dough has a strong flavor and a few of my friends don't like it because of that. It's not my favorite pizza in Chicago, but I think it's good. I've never dined in, usually get pickup. It is convenient for the neighborhood if you want pizza but don't want to go far.

This is the best place for salads! They are big enough for a healthy dinner and super fresh! The bartenders and wait staff are super friendly and they have a terrific wine selection. All in all a great place to have a casual dinner with friends or family.

I don't find anything here to draw me back. The food is average with a great atmosphere and big variety with food drink… but I never would choose to eat here, so many other great choices. Great for families with kids or maybe to grab a drink snack. Nice big booths covered outdoor space.

This time the pizza was burnt a little bit. They have change since they sold the place to a corporation.

Roots is the best. great place to grab a beer pizza. the mozzarella sticks are the best. we go here often as we live in the neighborhood and have never had a bad experience.
