•Ambiance: Very dark and dim restaurant. Seating not as intimate for 2 people. Very loud and lively restaurant. Great for a group of people, not so much for an date night. My chair was wobbly •Food: Very delicious. My wife's filet was cooked perfectly. My Ribeye was a little bit more blue, than medium rare (still ate it). The vibe wasn’t as chill as I expected very noisy. The food was mediocre. The service was only okay and also Came home with a terrible stomach ache that lasted a few days I called the restaurant and one of the managers were very rude and non helpful don’t recommend

What used to be our favorite restaurant in Chicago, is now ruined. Our annual birthday celebration at Mastro’s ended up with extreme food poisoning from a bad batch of OYSTERS which were spoiled by sewage water per a FDA post near the same time as our experience. Fine dining, and live music. Amazing experience. Very cozy atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this gem
