The Sun Inn - Shropshire

The Sun Inn offers the best food we've had in a long time. We would highly recommend it to anyone. The food is of excellent quality, fresh, and good value for money. The hosts are warm and friendly. Overall, a fabulous experience.

Lovely meal. We had the Guinea Fowl and the Venison, we both enjoyed. Staff very friendly and we had a good chat with the Chef. Would definitely revisit and would recommend if you are nearby.

My family and I dined at this restaurant on the last night of our vacation. We received a warm welcome, the restaurant is dog-friendly, and the food was amazing. Excellent food prepared with a deft touch and served by friendly staff. Very good and worth a detour to find this out of the way pub

Were advised to book here for an evening meal so we did just that. When we arrived the pub was quite empty and quiet. How refreshing it was to sit in a pub and have a conversation without having to shout over loud background music. The chap who served our drinks and took our order was really pleasant and funny and we felt really welcomed. We had a drink before being shown to our table to be served. When the food came it was piping hot, and looked and smelled delicious and the taste didn’t disappoint. Hubby had the belly pork with crackling, chips and veg. I had the chicken with mushroom fricassee, new potatoes and veg. Pudding, even though we were stuffed was chocolate brownie and ice cream and hubby had gooseberry crumble with ice cream. The cinnamon in the crumble just brought memories of Christmas in the middle of Summer....beautiful. It’s a small family run restaurant with locally sourced produce that tastes great. What more could you want?
