Poolside Tandoori - Shropshire

For anyone new to Asian cooking, or maybe a regular; this is a must. I found that for a friend who was new to these premises, the staff were only too ready to advise on what to start with. The menu is quite wide ranging with various strengths to most dishes. The popularity of these premises can be gauged by the fact that on my last visit it was virtually full at 8pm. They cater for families as well as couples and small groups.

Very good Indian restaurant, with delicious, freshly prepared food, with both specials and traditional favourites, moderately priced. Staff are welcoming, friendly and attentive. I have visited twice with my children, who have also enjoyed their experience here. Nothing is too much trouble, nice atmosphere.

The service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice upon arrival. However, the Nan pockets for starters were bland and lacked seasoning. The Tandoori mix for mains was tasteless, dry, and overcooked. I requested a Madras sauce but received a vegetable sauce instead, which was promptly changed. The meat was pale and lacked spice and flavor. My wife had the chicken biryani, which was enough for three people but was colorless, unseasoned, and boring. There were no draft beers available, so we settled for a 600ml bottle of Bangra Indian beer, which was excellent and priced at £4.45. Overall, it was an average experience. We may try them once more to give them the benefit of the doubt.

We are new to the village of Madeley, there are a few restaurants and takeaways, however we are fans of asian food and Evening Spices hits the spot. It has recently re-opened following a change of management, and tbh we have enjoyed a takeaway recently but decided we needed to have the restaurant meal. And we were not disappointed, excellent food, attentive staff, and a superb ambiance makes this a fantastic place to enjoy good quality food.

We visit here regularly. Our favourite starter is the mixed platter, delicious. Great choice of meals on the menu, nice wines. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend the restaurant
