The food and service was super GOOD! I was disappointed in the pie. I really wanted a piece of old timey chocolate pie with meringue, it was an icebox pie. I guess that recipe departed with the legends.

FANTASTIC chicken fried steak cornbread. Service is a bit iffy, but that's not why you come here. You come here for an inexpensive, southern, home-cooked meal. Enjoy!

A Shreveport staple. Wouldn’t feel like home without breakfast or a burger from this iconic spot! You’re insane if you don’t get pie also.

Food wasn’t good. Nothing was seasoned. Everything was made with bare hands. The service from our waiter was exceptional, she was very nice. The cook was having a bad day. They locked the door for an some apparent reason at they wasn’t closed

We stopped in for breakfast. The staff was personable. The owner (or manager) greeted us himself. He asked if this was our first time there and where we were from. When he found out it was our first time, he brought us a slice of his strawberry freezer pie to try. It was delicious. My husband had an omelette and I had the bacon, eggs and grits. Both were delicious. We ate it all! This place is awesome. The food is delicious and the staff was wonderful.
