Cruise N' Lake - Shōranūr

The room was nice and clean, few insects in the bathroom which I guess is normal in the middle of nature! Lovely host and delicious food that you can eat right outside your room at covered tables with probably one of the best views, over the backwaters and lake, sunset rise right in front of you. A boat picked me up just outside my room as well for a 2h tour.

This place is right by the backwater. You can have your meal overlooking the vembanad lake. The food is great. My absolute favorite are the French fries. Fresh and crispy I travel very long to come here for these bad boys. The seafood here is amazing as well. Apart from that the staff is really friendly. You can also rent rooms here. The rooms are nice and we'll maintained. They also can help you with arranging a boar trip.

I stumbled upon Cruise a Lake resort while looking for lunch options from my resort.. Google maps showed 2 routes to reach Cruise N lake resort. I took the first route which turned me into a dead end. Turned around and took the second route only to realize that the road is too narrow even for a 4 meter hatchback. One side of he road is a lake so one needs to be very careful while negotiating the turns. There is no space for 2 vehicles to pass through .After managing through those narrow roads finally reached the restaurant. Restaurant is located next to a lake which offers Amazing views.. We ordered fish curry meals along with fish fry. Food was hygienic and tasty. Ladies serving the food were very courteous and helpful. Fish curry meals was priced at 100 bucks. Overall a recommend place provided you are skilled enough to drive through narrow roads. Bikers shouldn't have a problem.

Twice I had lunch from Cruise n lake restaurant. Small huts with table and chairs serve as the dining area.You can have a view of the lake from the huts and enjoy the food with view of the house boats. They charge 90 Inr for a non veg meals fish curry included . The food is fresh. Local women serve as the cook in the restaurant. You get a taste of homely food.A swing is available for the kids to play.
