Restaurant is quiet and food is not good but expensive, i would not recommend to any one

This is one of the oldest and most authentic Japanese restaurants in Shizuoka city. If you're looking to experience genuine Japanese cuisine in this city, this is the top choice.

I visited Ugetsuro to attend a lecture seminar. Ugetsuro was originally a magistrate's residence that was renovated by Tokugawa Yoshinobu, the former shogun, in the second year of the Meiji era after his resignation. He lived there for 20 years and the current Ugetsuro garden was created during that time. The building was established as a guest house and restaurant in Shizuoka on the site of Tokugawa Yoshinobu's former residence in the 24th year of the Meiji era. The restaurant has a magnificent garden with white plum and cherry blossoms blooming beautifully during my visit.

I chose the recommended Tempura lunch menu, and it was delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice, and I could sit at the counter seat in front of the garden, which made me feel like I was in a cafe!
