Carthago - 渋谷

I was looking for a halal restaurant to have our Iftaar at. so when I read the name, I was so excited to try it . Then I called them and booked a table, when we arrived the lady who works there was nice and very friendly. It looked like she knew a lot about Arab and Muslims . so She gave us some date and water. We chose the main set, which was really delicious, and we love the atmosphere so much with Arabic songs. But I just hoped if they added a non-alcoholic drink for the setup, tea, or maybe dessert. :

I went there with Tunisian friends who had heard about this restaurant from their friends. They confirmed that the food is as authentic and tasty as the ones back in Tunisia. The lamb cusus and Tunisian salad were tasty (I wished the portions were a bi more generous). At the end we had a wonderful rose tea (served in a pot with real rose buds).

The mezza’s were really delicious! We got a cold platter and I ordered the babaganoush, hummus and ezme salatasi. Love them all! My main (tajin lamb) was also delicious. The place is also very prettily decorated. Good date spot for a romantic night! Highly recommended and I’m definitely coming back. —— Came back here for the second time post covid and the food is still very good! I ordered the chef recommend course meal for ¥3300 and it comes with 2 assorted appetizers (hot and cold), pita bread and a main dish. Absolutely delicious! Tastes so much like the real thing I had when I worked in Dubai a few years back. The place is operated by a husband and wife pair; so just need to be a little patient with the service especially when the place is busy. But it is definitely worth the wait!

Amazing Tunisian food by Japanese chef and excellent service too

Had the Qarous Mahshi. Stuffed Seabass Tunisian Style. So mad good, my mouth is still tingling and my entire being is satisfied. No photo as I went in on it without hesitation. Do enjoy this place. Self service on wine. And a large menu with much yet to discover.
