Spiggie Bar And Restaurant

I chose this for my last night on Shetland as it is near the airport, but not too near. I also booked an evening meal. Arriving before it opened I spent a relaxing time on the nearby beach. The restaurant was not crowded and I was given a table in the conservatory area to make the most of the evening sunshine. There was a choice of 3 starters, 3 mains, and 3 desserts. Although it took quite a while, when the food arrived it was excellent. Clearly not pulled out of the freezer and into the microwave. I chose the Morrocan lamb followed by chocolate pudding and ice cream. Despite the presence of the bar on the ground floor my en suite room on the first floor was quiet and I slept well. As I had an early flight I didn't stay for breakfast. I would thoroughly recommend both the hotel and the restaurant.

Stopped here hoping for lunch or at least coffee. On a sunny lunch time.doors all locked and no sign of life.

Beautiful setting, comfortable rooms, very welcoming (new) owners, gorgeous view of the sunset from the dining room. Lovely place for a weekend break would definitely go back.

This is a lovely wee pub/ hotel, a wee bit out of the wee but nice all the same, transport definitely required to visit this one.
